Homemade PBnJ
The peanut butter and jelly sandwich was one of my favorite sandwiches growing up! To this day I still eat them regularly! You can’t beat a fresh peanut butter and jelly where you control the flavors, the sweetness, the tartness, the saltiness and all of the ingredients. It is shocking when you go to the grocery store and buy a natural peanut butter that has more ingredients than just peanuts and maybe some salt. Today I want to make a peanut butter that is going to have about six or seven ingredients and they are all different nuts. If you like this recipe be sure to check out this one too! and this one!

Peanut Butter
To get started I preheat the oven to 350ºf. On a baking sheet I add two cups of peanuts, a half cup of cashews, a quarter cup of almonds, handful of walnuts and macadamia nuts, a teaspoon of flax seeds and two teaspoons pumpkin seeds. Toss those into the oven for about twenty minutes. For our jelly, I add two cups of organic concord grape juice into a saucepan with almost a teaspoon of agar, a quarter cup of allulose, bring that to a boil and then set a timer for two minutes while you stir. After two minutes, I like to add a teaspoon of chia seeds and a squirt of lemon juice.

Jelly
Stir that up, then toss it into a jar while it is hot. Put a lid on it and throw it into the fridge overnight. Now that the nuts are done in the oven it’s time to add them to a food processor. Then pulse it until the nuts crumble! Once it is all crumbs I turn the processor on high and let it run for about ten minutes. After five minutes I scraped the sides down. But then we have this creamy, piping hot, peanut butter! I like to store it in a glass container and throw it into the fridge. The next morning I make my first sandwich!

Taste Test
The peanut butter is so smooth and creamy! And the jelly is super jelly, it spreads far easier than any store bought jelly! It is not nearly as sweet but that is how I like it! The flavors are so good. The peanut butter is so rich and natural tasting. And it has a nice texture to it with some peanut chunks. The jelly makes you feel like you are really eating a grape! This is so easy and delicious, give it a try! Watch the full video here!
