Making Thick Cut BACON from a POTATO

This was just a fun experiment gone right. I first wanted to see how much starch I could extract from a potato to make vegan bacon. It wasn’t much so I picked up some potato starch and started layering up a perfect vegan pork belly that was easily sliceable into an incredible good thick cut vegan bacon.

I kept reading about this Giant Mushroom that is supposed to taste just like bacon! I didn’t believe it so I went and picked up a King Oyster mushroom and started making bacon! I found this vegan recipe for this mushroom bacon on Serious Eats.
