The BEST SPICY addition to YOUR PANTRY! Togarashi

I’ve been seeing Togarashi everywhere lately! Its been on sushi, ramen noodles, I’ve even seen it as a sauce at my favorite Poke Restaurant Island Fin Poke! I came up with a simple recipe to make your own at home!

Togarashi recipe
2 teaspoons Black Sesame seeds
2 teaspoons white Sesame seeds
1 ½ teaspoons Szechuan Pepper
½ teaspoon poppy seeds
1 Nori Sheet
1 teaspoon ginger powder
1 tablespoon orange peel
1 tablespoon red chilli pepper
1 teaspoon smoked red pepper
1 teaspoon korean red chilli pepper

*Using a dry skillet over medium high heat lightly toast the black and white sesame seeds, szechuan pepper, and poppy seeds. Once the white sesame seeds toast remove from pan and add to a mixing bowl.
*Toast the nori sheet over a flame or over a very hot pan. You will smell the nori sheet become fragrant
*Crush the nori sheet into the bowl with your toasted spices.
*Now add the rest of your seasonings and add them to a spice grinder or into a blender
*Blend until you have a coarse seasoning.
