Lentils are one of the cheapest and most widely available superfoods and you should consider eating a heck of a lot more of them! You could buy a four pound bag of lentils at Walmart for under six dollars. That is fifty two servings, for less than twelve cents a servings. Lentils are rich in B vitamins, magnesium, potassium, zinc, folate, iron, and so much more! If you like this recipe you should check out this one too! and this one!

Lentils can help you maintain a healthy weight or lose weight! Number three, diabetes management. According to several studies, lentils have the ability to help manage and prevent diabetes by improving blood glucose and metabolisms in diabetic and healthy human beings. Lentil Sandwich

Something as simple as a lentil sandwich can come out really good! I added some onion, garlic, green pepper, and some carrots into a pan with some salt. Next, cooked them for a few minutes. After they cooked for a few minutes I added in one cup of washed green lentils. Then I added one and a half cups of vegetable broth, and a half cup of your favorite sauce. You can use tomato sauce, bbq sauce, but I am going to be using my sauce! Not Steak Sauce! I add it in, mix it around, and let it simmer for about twenty minutes. What is going to be left is a thick, lentil kind of sloppy joe! I toasted some bread, piled it on, added a pickle and it was so good! It came out awesome! Watch the full video here!
