Not Pork Belly Flavoring
This is just the flavoring broth I used to hydrate the Textured protein. Use Veggie Ahns recipe listed above
- 1 Cup Hot Water
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp liquid smoke
- 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1/2 tsp beet root powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp sage
- 1/8th tsp clove
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
Mix everything together to hydrate 1 cup of textured protein.
Let rest for at least 30 minutes covered
Once hydrated press out remaining liquid to get better meat textured
