Basic Pickled Mushrooms

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Pound Mushrooms White button mushrooms work fine here
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup Vinegar I used white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp kosher salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper corns
  • 3 cloves ga

Instructions
 

  • Clean and place the mushrooms in a sauce pan covered in water add large pinch salt and boil for about 20 minutes
  • Remove mushrooms and save broth... its really good
  • Now in a sauce pan add the water, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper corns bring to simmer then remove from heat.
  • Add boiled mushrooms to jar or your preferred container and pour pickling broth over mushrooms, seal and let rest refrigerated over night.
