I know the Baking Soda trick on steaks has been around for a while and we’ve tried it on mushrooms before but I REALLY wanted to try this on a vegan steak and see what happens!

Who needs Meat when you have Gluten??!! Seriously.. It has more protein, more nutritious and its not classified as a carcinogen. Along with being better for the animals, its better for the planet and you.

We’re going to make seitan from flour and also use seitan from a can! 2 ways! This is my favorite vegan protein!

How Ramsays should have made his Vegan Steakhouse dinner.
I was recently at Crossroads kitchen in LA and got to try their Vegan Eggplant steak! It was a skirt steak and it was really good and I knew I immediately wanted to try to make it! I was reminded of when I made Gordon Ramsays eggplant steak and how even though it tasted good, it was more of a side dish… so I wanted to use what I knew from his recipe to see if I could recreate this in a way that I felt was more accurate to a main course meal.

The Best Cheese Steak is actually Carrots… and it’s REALLY REALLY Good!! I’ve made vegan carrot meat in the past and it came out fantastic so I wanted to try it again after I got this new peeler that I thought would help add some texture. It really didn’t matter much, but I still got a great vegan steak and cheese sandwich… but out of carrots!! And I can’t wait to show you this cheese!

It’s REALLY good too!
